CASE MANAGEMENT

In addition to HIV case management, we collaborate with Coastal Family Health, local hospitals and the Veteran's Administration for persons seeking medical attention.

We currently have over 400 HIV positive clients that we serve through our agency.

FREE HIV TESTING

SMATF provides FREE HIV testing. Please call 1-877-385-1214 to setup an appointment.

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING

SMATF offers a 90-day transitional housing program for homeless persons living with HIV/AIDS. Clients must meet HUD requirements/guidelines.

FOOD PANTRY

We have an on site food pantry for our clients. Our pantry is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

We are able to provide financial assistance on a once a year basis for housing, utilities and non-HIV medication. Most of these funds are made available through grants and private donations (as funds are available).

SCHOOL/COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Our staff provides HIV/AIDS education classes for the six county area. We are able to adapt our presentations to the needs of the group. Please contact our office if you would like us to provide a session for your organization, group, or business.

HIV prevention presentations to junior high and high school groups are available. Call 228.385.1214 to schedule a date for your school.

HIV/STD 24-HOUR HOTLINE

The Mississippi State Department of Health has contracted with SMATF to provide a 24-hour, seven-day a week HIV/STD information hotline for the state of Mississippi.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Our agency conducts support groups for individuals and families affected by HIV.
